Clarus Capital Group AG (CCG) strengthens its Asset Management team by the hire of Markus Mettier, former executive director at UBS. With his extensive experience of more than 30 years in the Fixed Income Markets he will contribute significantly to the advisory offering served to wealthy clients by the Asset Management. “Markus’ profound knowledge of fixed income markets is key to a challenging environment with bond yields below zero percent. Investors are driven into higher risk and need to select their credit risk more carefully. Markus Mettier has experienced most of the crisis in Emerging Markets and will contribute to a superior performance of the client’s portfolios”, says Roger Ganz, Head Asset Management of CCG.
Markus Mettier joined the Asset Management of Clarus Capital Group in January 2020 after having worked for more than 30 years at UBS AG. During his long career at UBS he was in the Fixed Income Department of UBS Investment Bank and later UBS WM. He was responsible for the FI Emerging Markets sales and advisory desk, covering all types of clients. Markus acted as Fixed Income product specialist and was one of the leading people to build up the content team, which generated trading ideas and was responsible for the bond-universe within UBS WM. For more than 20 years he followed FI EM closely.
